Lightweight cryptography is cryptographic technology suitable for constraint devices. This technology attracts a great deal of attention in recent years because it enables implementation of cryptographic functionality with low cost and/or low power consumption in many applications including smart cards, RFID tags, sensor networks, medical and healthcare devices, etc.
