CLEFIA is proposed to CRYPTREC (Application for Cryptographic Techniques towards the Revision of the e-Government Recommended Ciphers List).

CRYPTREC is evaluating security and implementations of the applied cryptographic techniques towards the revision of the e-Government Recommended Ciphers List.

On March 2, 2011, CRYPTREC Symposium 2011 was held and it was presented that CLEFIA proceeds to the 2nd evaluation phase.
