Kyushu Sangyo University Graduate School of Fine Arts Photo Exhibition Ambience

This photo exhibition spotlights seven students from Kyushu Sangyo University who are pursuing photography in the Graduate School of Fine Arts' Doctoral Program in Plastic Expression.

Taking "ambiance" as a common theme, they have each attempted to photographically express what they felt after spending time in a place or situation of their choice, the underlying belief being that, as the world continues to change at what can sometimes seem a delirious pace, all people and things become enveloped in an ambiance all their own.

At the exhibition, you will see how Sichen Wang uses lines and shapes to express the meaning of life as he sees it, Zibo Cui discovering himself through his dreams, inquisitive observations of the relationships between things and environments by Qiuyue Zhong, what solitude is like for Yichen Pan after going through quarantine, sprawling environments that have grown along the railway lines in Kyushu as captured by Satoshi Yamashita, pockets of silence explored within thriving cities by Qirui Li, and Japanese culture seen from Liqi Liu's perspective as a foreigner.

This photo exhibition is an opportunity to see what the students saw and perhaps feel something from the ambiances they have presented.
