This exhibition will be showing the Grand Prix and other award-winning works from the "Department of Photography Special 2020".
The “Department of Photography Special” is an event where the top students from 1st to 4th year for their outstanding achievements based on work completed during the current academic year are rewarded. We have drastically changed the way we present and select works this year. Nominated students can freely develop their works on the assigned tables and delve into their own interests. The student who gives the best presentation is selected for the Grand Prix.
Judging this year was done by the entire faculty from the Department of Photography, plus photographers Taishi Hirokawa and Ryo Owada, and art and graphic designer Hiroko Ito, who were invited to serve as judges. This year’s Grand Prix and other award winners were chosen from 70 nominated students after they presented their works and fielded questions from the judges during the two-day event (February 7 (FRI) - 8 (SAT)).
Also during the exhibition will be playing a slideshow of all of the nominated works from the “Department of Photography Special 2020” and all of the graduation projects completed during the 2019 academic year.
