Sony has launched a project to explore new opportunities in cooking using AI and robotics. The focus is not robotics technology itself but rather ways robots can partner with human beings. Introducing sensing technologies may help us better understand how the five senses can interact in the appreciation of cuisine, and this may also help us learn more about healthy body and mind. Sony is collaborating with Carnegie Mellon University and other partners in its exploration of the possibilities of cooking and AI and robotics.
