experience one of the latest IT technologies through MESH, a DIY kit for the Internet of

Sony Electronics (Laredo Texas - LLC) held a Sony Science Program workshop to instruct 14 kids between the ages of 6 years old to 11 years old.

The Sony Creative Science Award (SCSA) is Sony's key CSR programme in Singapore and in 2017, we celebrated its 20th Anniversary. Over the past 20 years, 75,000 students have taken part in the competition and over 63,000 toy entries submitted, making SCSA the largest toy-making competition in Singapore.
In conjunction with SCSA, the MESH Workshop was held for the very first time in Singapore.

2017 marked the 5th year of Sony Creative Science Award in Taiwan, a toy-making competition targeting children ages 9 to 12 years old. In order to extend the influence and raise awareness of Sony's efforts in science education among the young generation, Sony Taiwan organized two free exhibitions for the public in Taipei (July 20-24) and Kaohsiung (July 27-30) showcasing top 20 creative entries made by the winning participants.

On November 21, 2016, Sony Electronics (Laredo Texas - LLC) held a Sony Science Program workshop to instruct 20 kids between the ages of 6 years old to 13 years old. During the workshop, kids had a chance to understand how a generator works which was delivered in an interesting way.

Sony EMCS (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, PG Tec participated the Japan Technology Weekend at local science discovery center, Tec Dome Penang on 10th - 12th September 2016.
"How an IC Recorder Works" workshop was conducted for primary school student with age 9-12 years old and at the same time, Sony Malaysia also introduce the "How Noise Canceling Works" exhibition to experience the magic of Sony noise cancelling technology .Total six session of Sony Science Program Workshop was conducted and 134pax of primary school students were participated. The session was fruitful and have the participant went "Wow" with each segment of the program.

Sony Creative Science Award (SCSA) is an annual CSR program organized by Sony Group of Companies in Singapore and the Science Centre Singapore, with the support of Ministry of Education.
2016 is the 19th year of competition and it received close to 6,500 toy entries from over 7,200 students.
In conjunction with SCSA, the Sony Science Program headphones workshop was held for 62 students, facilitated by 30 Sony volunteers.

SOEM KL Tec organized Sony Science Program in October 2015 and this was SOEM's first ever science program for staff children. In SOEM, we believe that promoting children's interest in science is crucial for the development of our society. This is the 3rd time KL Tec hosted educational CSR.

Sony Creative Science Award is an annual CSR program organized by Sony Group of Companies in Singapore and the Science Centre Singapore, with the support of Ministry of Education.
This year it celebrated 18 years of partnership on Singapore's longest running toy-making competition, with over 60,000 students submitting 50,000 toys since inception, making it one of the most popular competitions among the primary schools in Singapore.

The 3rd time Sony Science Program workshop was held in Sony Malaysia.
Approximately 40 students from ages ranging from 11 and 12 years old and 10 teachers from 10 government primary schools from the district of Hulu Langat participated in the workshop. The students were given the opportunity to assemble their own IC recorders. Nurturing the power of science and creativity in young children encourages them to be innovative and develop their liking in science knowledge.

Sony Electronics Vietnam held its fourth Sony Science Workshop in Vietnam under the theme "How an IC recorder works and how to assemble the recorder", with the participation of more than 180 pupils in grades 5 and teachers from six elementary schools.

The seventh edition of the Sony Science Show was held with a renowned Japanese scientific entertainer entertaining and unraveling the mystifying world of science to children. This edutainment event offered an enriching experience to 8-11 year old children, thus cultivating their interest in science and technology through a fun and practical approach. The show witnessed an overwhelming response from over 5,000 students from 29 schools in the UAE. The addition of public shows for families with children in Dubai, attracted a crowd of 600 people too.

Sony Vietnam held its second Sony Science Program in Ho Chi Minh city with 120 pupils from 4 junior secondary schools. The pupils explored the hands on experience of making headphones of their own with the recycled materials, while learning how sound travels.

Sony Hong Kong introduced the first Sony Science Program in Hong Kong for children's creativity. The half day program consisted of experiments on
exploring different sources of sound and the hands-on experience of making the IC recorder.

Sony Science Program workshop was held for first time overseas at the Sony Creative Science Award in the summer of 2010. Primary school children aged 7 through 12 years made headphones from plastic bottles and milk cartons and to learn the principle of how sound travels.
