(Tokyo, October 17, 2011) - Sony Corporation today announced that, following the floods in Thailand, Sony and its group companies will donate 30 million Japanese yen to help relief and recovery efforts in communities affected. Additionally, donations will be collected from Sony Group employees, and their contributions will be matched by the company through a matching gifts program.
The affected area is home to key Sony manufacturing facilities, and is of vital importance to Sony. Sony sends its sincerest condolences to all those affected by the recent floods and wishes for a full and swift recovery.
