Clear, continuous sound pickup that stays with the subject
Here's a great way to capture every word and exclamation while shooting video of your child at an amusement park. Clip the EMC-W1M Wireless Microphone unit to your subject and you'll be able to record continuous close-up audio even as the merry-go-round turns, for example. Sound from the microphone is wirelessly transmitted to the receiver mounted on the camera, and two-way communication capability between microphone and receiver means you can talk to your child at the same time, giving directions as necessary.

Bidirectional Bluetooth Wireless
The ECM-W1M consists of a microphone and a separate receiver that attaches to the camera's Multi Interface Shoe. The receiver unit also includes a built-in microphone that can be used to communicate with the subject wearing the microphone unit. Communication between the microphone and receiver units is via Bluetooth, providing a range of up to about 100 meters*, depending on prevailing conditions.
* Approximate line-of-sight distance between transmitter and receiver. Metal objects, people, and other obstructions between transmitter and receiver, as well as prevailing radio conditions, can affect wireless performance.
