Sony's 3D Movie Experience

Sony has opened 3D Experience Pavilions in seven countries around the globe. Open to the general public for a 3D movie experience, the Pavilions will remain in operation all the way through the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. Their purpose is to add to the event's excitement by showing not only football contents in 3D but also other Sony Group 3D contents, including music promos, movies and games. Each Pavilion is crowded with football fans from all over the world everyday.

The 3D Experience Pavilion at Nelson Mandela Square has been extremely busy ever since its opening. Around 3,000 football fans are visiting it every day. On Sony's 3D Bravia and the large-size screen at the Pavilion, they are enjoying watching trailers of the 25 matches shot in 3D - scheduled to be released as 3D Blu-ray content from Sony Pictures Entertainment later this year - as well as other Sony Group 3D contents, including music promos, movies and games.

At Sony's 3D Experience Booth in Soccer City Stadium-where the first World Cup match was held-the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ 3D trailer was shown on 3D Bravia, as well as the 3D version of the music video of "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)", the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ , performed by Shakira with the South African band Freshlyground. There were other performances, too, and a DJ encouraged visitors to dance, creating an exciting atmosphere among the many supporters who had come to watch the match.3D Experience Booths are also available at Durban Stadium and Green Point Stadium.

JAPAN Even if you cannot travel to South Africa or to the cities where the International FIFA Fan Fest is being hosted,fans in Japan can experience 3D football footage at 500 locations including JR Shinagawa Station and Ginza Sony Building in Tokyo.

Sony is also showcasing 3D movies at a location near the Chuo Exit of JR East Shinagawa Station, and the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ 3D trailer is being shown there every day. Why don't you come along and experience watching the latest FIFA World Cup match in 3D!
3D footage of the matches can also be seen at the Sony Showroom in the Ginza Sony Building.
