FIFA Interactive World Cup 2008

The FIFA Interactive World Cup is an annual global football gaming event, where the world's best players battle for the right to become the FIFA Interactive World Player of the Year. The event debuted in 2004 with Xbox and interactive entertainment software company Electronic Arts (EA) as presenting partners. In the 2008 edition, Sony Computer Entertainment joins EA as a new presenting partner, with PLAYSTATION®3 as the official gaming device of the event. Other changes include a new format for the event, as well as an expanded tournament schedule that runs concurrently with the European football season. With the new features and addition of Sony PlayStation to the FIFA and EA team, the competition is expected to stimulate even more excitement and fun to more people around the world.

Grand Final

32 finalists (20 national champions + 12 best online gamers) will compete on May 24, 2008 at the Sony Center in Berlin, Germany to determine the winner and FIFA Interactive World Player 2008.
