World Heritage by α CLOCK channel for Life with PlayStation®

With the World Heritage by α CLOCK channel (World Heritage channel) for Life with PlayStation®, you can enjoy α CLOCK content on your PlayStation®3 system free of charge.

α CLOCK Project Overview

Throughout the world, there are numerous "World Heritage" locations selected by UNESCO - treasures, both natural and manmade, that must be maintained for future generations to also enjoy. These locations include magnificent scenery formed naturally over innumerable decades, historical sites constructed in ancient eras, and other irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration. There are so many locations across the globe in the World Heritage List that it would be very difficult to visit all of them in a single lifetime. The α CLOCK project, brought to you by Sony, is an attempt to photograph these World Heritage locations with Sony's own α DSLR camera and to share these recorded treasures with the world.

A CLOCK images

This project will cover several sites picked from UNESCO's World Heritage List from all over the globe, including: France, Switzerland, Croatia, Italy, China, Japan, Thailand and others.

We invited film director, Yuji Nukui, to be the photographer who will be shooting these locations at various times of day. We are excited about Nukui's sense and technique; which, when coupled with the superb performance of the α Camera, turns photos into art.

World Heritage by α CLOCK channel Features

The World Heritage channel utilizes the power of the PlayStation®3 to differentiate itself from the α CLOCK website currently available for PC. Each location is plotted onto the Life with PlayStation® globe. 12 photos are available for each World Heritage site; which photo is available depends on the time of day. Find your own favorites using Life with PlayStation®.

In autopilot mode, images for each location will be shown automatically.

Using the controller to navigate the globe will allow you to visit any location of your choosing.

Photos change every 2 hours.
