On November 13 (Sat.), Ryoji Chubachi, Representative Corporate Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of Sony Corporation, attended the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit 2010. Under the theme of "Asia-Pacific as the Driving Force for Global Growth: Seeking Prosperity after Crisis", this year's Summit was hosted by Nippon Keidanren and held in Yokohama on November 12th and 13th. It was attended by about 1,000 people, including business leaders and heads of state, from a total of 21 countries and regions.

Ryoji Chubachi participated in a panel discussion in Session 7, which was titled "CSR - How Should Firms be Involved with Society?" As one of the panelists, he made statements on CSR as a management strategy required for global firms in the Asia-Pacific region, the need for private-public partnership, human resource development and education, the necessity of mutual understanding, and the possibilities of contribution harnessing Sony's unique technology and human resources as well as its global network.

The Session was also attended by globally active business executives and venture capitalists who engaged in animated discussion on approaches to sustained advancement in the region from various perspectives.
