In order to support the victims of the Niigata Chuetsu Earthquake, the Sony Group has made a contribution of approximately 58 million yen(*) in total to Niigata Office, Community Chest and The Japanese Red Cross Society.

Other relief activities are as follows;
- Some of our employees currently work as volunteer staff to help people in the quake-stricken districts
- We have provided 1,350 radio sets and 20 LCD (liquid crystal display) TVs to the quake-devastated areas

We earnestly hope that the quake-devastated regions will recover as soon as possible.


* Total amount including the immediate relief that was previously arranged and donations from individual employees. The employee donation campaign within the Sony Group closed on November, 30, 2004.
