Communicate Sony spreads the word about our conservation efforts and other programs

Afforestation that started more than 30 years ago. Kohda TEC in Aichi Prefecture is behind "Sony Forest."

Creating a green industrial park has been an objective of Sony EMCS Corporation's Kohda TEC since this manufacturing site was established. Conservation of plants and trees has been practiced since an early stage in construction at Kohda TEC, and other greening activities are promoted. Early afforestation to expand greenbelts was followed by planting deciduous trees and plants suited to local terrain as part of greening in medium- to long-term plans. Since 1998, the trees growing naturally here have been known as the "Sony Forest." In addition to conservation efforts, Kohda TEC has built an observation deck and athletic facilities for the community.

Certified with the SEGES "Excellent Stage 3" Mark

Kohda TEC's long-term commitment to afforestation and conservation of the greenbelt and contributions to the community have been recognized with the highest certification in the Social and Environmental Green Evaluation System.
