Siyakhona(We Can do it)Project

With the Children

♦Activity Report

“Football for Hope” is a global movement that uses the power of football for positive social change. The Siyakhona Project is undertaken as part of this movement. The project gives children the opportunity to create digital images and equips them with the necessary skills to get tell their stories to the world.
Before the start of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, Siyakhona kits were distributed on a worldwide basis, not just in Africa but in the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, and Central and South America. The many photographs resulting from these kits were exhibited at the Football For Hope Festival venue during the tournament.
The photos were highly individualistic and good enough to make even a professional jealous. The winners were selected according to the votes of the exhibition visitors and presented with the Siyakhona Global Photography Award.
