CSR Europe is non-profit organisation established in 1996 to support companies as they integrate CSR into their business activities. CSR Europe members currently include over 60 leading multinational corporations.
CSR Europe originated the European Business Network for Social Cohesion established by Eight European companies and European Commission President Jacques Delors in 1995 in response to the European declaration of businesses against social exclusion. CSR Europe, which works in tandem with the European Commission and CSR related-organizations, has membership that includes over 60 leading multinational corporations with a network of about 1,400 companies. Through this network and with support from the European Commission, CSR Europe promotes CSR in 15 European countries including the establishment of the CSR business school the European Academy of Business in Society.
CSR Europe also promotes key issues in Europe, such as business and diversity, business and human rights, communications and reporting, education, the mainstreaming of CSR, and socially responsible investment
