Sony Appoints Nobuyuki Idei as CEO of Sony Corporation
|
Tokyo, Japan - Sony Corporation today announced that Chairman Norio Ohga today resigned from his position as CEO. Following Mr. Ohga's resignation, President Nobuyuki Idei was appointed CEO of Sony Corporation. These changes were approved today at a meeting of the Sony Corporation Board of Directors, which followed an Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders earlier in the day.
Mr. Ohga will maintain his position of Chairman and Representative Director of Sony Corporation.
