Sony shares are listed in the form of Sony ordinary shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. In the United States, Sony shares are listed on the New York Stock Exchange in the form of American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) under the ticker symbol SNE. Each Sony ADR represents 1 Sony ordinary share.
US and Canadian Residents:
US and Canadian residents can purchase Sony ADRs through a brokerdealer or through a Direct Purchase Plan (the "Plan"). The Plan is sponsored and administered by Sony's Depositary Bank, JP Morgan Chase. The Plan registration is open to U.S. and Canadian residents only and is designed to provide existing owners of ADRs and new interested investors who would like to participate in the Plan a convenient way to invest and/or increase their investment in Sony ADRs. The plan allows you to reinvest your dividend. Sony has agreed to the establishment of the Plan by JP Morgan Chase, but does not, and should not be deemed to, sponsor or administer the Plan. Sony assumes no obligation or liability for the operation of the Plan. Please refer to the Sony website Terms of Use (below) for more details regarding links to non-Sony sites.
