"NFC" has been standardized under ISO/IEC18092 (Near Field Communication Interface and Protocol). Incorporating NFC chips into consumer electronics equipments improves user convenience and provides new user-friendly interface. Various applications using NFC technology will be demonstrated to transferring music and photo image between consumer electronics products.

"FeliCa Pocket" allows operators to implement general customer services such as loyalty point program, coupon and membership cards easily and at low cost.
We will demonstrate diverse services using the "FeliCa Pocket" cards and the mobile phones to meet customers' demands, e.g. consolidation of membership cards issued by each store into one card, add-on of other services into a membership card, etc..

PKI has grown into an indispensable aspect of information security. New FeliCa systems supporting PKI will be available at the booth to share new prospects of FeliCa. This not only promises high security required in PC security, online banking and online stock trade, but also relieves users from hassle of entering the user IDs and passwords to access the services.

Various "VAIO", personal computer models with the "FeliCa Port" of the FeliCa reader/writer will be on display. This new port allows users to run FeliCa application software of each brand and offer seamless internet shopping, as well as instant verification of usage history. FeliCa modules to be built in PCs and other consumer-electronics products will be also exhibited.
