Terms and Conditions

Use of the documents titled "RC-S730 Product Specifications" ("Documents") is governed by this Terms and Conditions ("Terms and Conditions") set forth hereunder. By clicking "Agree" button below, You will be deemed that You agree the Terms and Conditions and an agreement will be deemed to be effective between Sony Corporation ("Sony") and You under the Terms and Conditions. Those who wish to use the Documents ("Users" or "You") must first agree to this Terms and Conditions by clicking such button before using the Documents.

Section 1 (Definitions) The following terms as used herein shall have the meanings as set forth below:
(1) "Purpose" means incorporation of RC-S730 into an electronic device and development of an application for it.

Section 2 (General)The Documents are protected by the copyright law of Japan or any other countries and treaties with respect to the right of creators and other relevant rights, or any other intellectual property laws and treaties. Any intellectual property rights in and to the Documents shall be solely owned and retained by Sony.

Section 3 (License to Use)

  1. Sony grants Users a non-exclusive and royalty-free right to copy the Documents from this web site solely for the Purpose.
  2. Users shall not further copy, modify or change in whole or in part or in any manner the Documents. In addition, Users shall not make the Documents available to any third party by distributing or uploading on a web site the Documents and/or copies thereof.

Section 4 (Limitation of Liability)

  1. Users shall use the Document (such use includes development and use of an application mentioned in the definition of the Purpose) on its own responsibility, and Sony shall not be liable to any damages which Users or any third party may incur through the use of the Documents by Users.
  2. The Documents will be provided by Sony to Users hereunder on "AS IS" basis without warranty of any kind. Sony makes or has made no representation or warranty, express or implied, statutory or otherwise, and expressly disclaims any representation or warranty with respect to any matter, including, but not limited to, accuracy, value and non- infringement of any third parties' rights.
  3. It is agreed and acknowledged by Users that, in order to fulfill the Purpose, Users need to obtain from Sony or its affiliates a license under the related intellectual property rights of Sony or its affiliates.
  4. Unless otherwise expressly provided herein, nothing contained in this Terms and Conditions shall be construed as granting or conferring any right or license, by implication, estoppel or otherwise, under any intellectual property rights of Sony or its affiliates, including, but not limited to, patent.

Section 5 (Termination)

  1. Sony shall have the right to terminate immediately in the event of Users' breach of any provision of the Terms and Conditions.
  2. In the event of the termination in accordance with Section 5.1, Users shall, within two (2) weeks from the termination date, destroy all of the Documents.

Section 6 (Miscellaneous)

  1. This Terms and Conditions shall be governed in all respects by the laws of Japan.
  2. If Users export the Documents outside of the country where the Documents were downloaded, Users shall comply with any applicable laws, ordinances, rules and regulations with respect to export control.
  3. In the event that any provision of this Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid by applicable laws, such enforceability and invalidity shall not render this Terms and Conditions as a whole and, in such event, the rest of the provisions shall continue to be effective.
  4. Users or Sony shall submit to the jurisdiction of, and waive any venue objections against, the Tokyo District Court to resolve any dispute arising under or in connection with this Agreement. Users and Sony agree that the judgment, decree or order rendered by a court of last resort or a court of lower jurisdiction from which no appeal has been taken in Tokyo, Japan shall be final and binding upon both Users and Sony.
