Incorporates two interfaces to connect to FeliCa security ICs and Type A/Type
B SIM cards |
|
The expansion of the NFC-based Wallet
function will enable settlements of not only
domestic cards but overseas cards as well,
which is expected to increase use of the
function.
The inclusion of an interface for Type A and
Type B SIM cards, in addition to an interface for mobile FeliCa security ICs will make
mobile payments more convenient. |
Reader/writer Function to Communicate
with NFC Tags Embedded in Posters
and Other Devices |
|
A reader/writer function that supports the
three contactless IC technologies of FeliCa,
Type A and Type B cards enables obtaining
information from posters with embedded NFC
tags (smart posters) and use of Connectivity
Handover*4, a Bluetooth and WiFi
authentication function, in communications
between devices.
*4: A function that hands over control to high-speed
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or other interface after device
authentication during NFC communication

Functions to Automatically Identify
FeliCa, Type A and Type B Cards
and the
High-speed Response Required by FeliCa
Services
|
|
The new IC provides automatic identification
of FeliCa, Type A and Type B cards and has
the same mobile FeliCa interface that does
not require operation prior to payment and
is capable of high-speed response processing
required by FeliCa. |
Advanced Communication Performance
|
|
As a demodulation circuit for communication
data, it provides excellent reception
performance by building on technology
garnered in the development of ICs for digital
broadcasting. Since the IC includes FeliCa
compliant NFC capability, it reduces the
number of parts a smart phone requires.
The IC is widely marketed to both domestic
and overseas manufacturers of smart phones
for the Japanese market. |
