* Compact GPS Module with Advanced Noise Resistance Providing High Sensitivity and Low Power Consumption

CXD5400

The CXD5400 is a GPS*1 and SBAS*2 signal receiver module capable of high performance navigation in the most demanding applications.
This module incorporates all the components except the antenna required for GPS reception (GPS receiver IC, TCXO*3, SAW filter, RTC*4 crystal oscillator and other components) and requires no additional external elements or components for operation other than a power supply.

* Low Power Module that Can be Used for Various Applications
The power consumption of a GPS receiver is seriously impacted by the strength of the satellite signal. The CXD5400 provides several intermittent operation modes that enable autonomous control of the receiver and lower power consumption. Combined with an acceleration sensor, the module can detect device status to further reduce power consumption.
* Compact and Easily Installed Module
The CXD5400 incorporates all circuits and elements except an antenna (GPS receiver IC, LNA and SAW filters and other RF circuits, LDO capacitors, inductors, etc.). The circuit configuration has been designed to maximize performance of the chip mounted in the GPS receiver IC and facilitate design of peripheral circuits.
* Noise Rejection and Monitoring Function
Equipped with a noise rejection filter, the CXD5400 can remove noise at the GPS frequency (1.57542 GHz) region in realtime. The module also provides a function for real-time monitoring of external noise or noise from the cellular equipment is integrated into to easily evaluate the device during integration. Since no special device is required for measurement, product operation status can be monitored without having to disassemble it.
* Records Tracks Showing Where the GPS Has Been
Positioning results can be recorded in internal memory on the CXD5400. When combined with intermittent operation, the module consumes less power and uses less memory per unit of time enabling extended recording time.
* Single Power Supply Operation
The CXD5400 can be operated on a single power supply with built-in LDO and DC-DC converters. By connecting the module directly to a product's battery will enable operation independent of the system allowing recording of positional results regardless of power supply status of the products.
