Sony Semiconductor Kyushu Corporation,
which is the principle production site of the
Sony Semiconductor Business Group, has, over many
years, continued to strive to realize the Sony
Group's environmental vision through site implementation.
By now, these efforts have born fruit
in a variety of forms. At the same time, the level
of society's requirements for corporate environmental
protection activities has increased,
for both the quality and amount of those efforts,
and our stakeholders also have both strong interests
and hopes regarding these efforts. In this
issue we present the environment activities at
Sony Semiconductor Kyushu Corporation,
which at the same time as continuing to supply
leading-edge semiconductor devices has
deployed high-level energy-saving technologies
and furthermore is deeply concerned with
water resources and the natural environment.
