*1	Micro Vault Virtual Expander is compatible with Windows Vista(32Bit), Windows XP(SP1 and higher) and Windows 2000(SP3 and higher). Windows Vista(64Bit) is not supported. Administrator rights are required. This application only operates with Micro Vaults on which it was pre-installed at the time of purchase.
*2	Depend on file types and contents."3 times" is an average based on actual tests performed by Sony on a sample of 14files of various types and Canterbury Corpus method.

	With some computer and operating system combinations, the USB 2.0 interface may not be supported. In such a case, use the USB 1.1 interface.

It is easy -- the device can be recognized automatically when you connect it to a USB port, which is equipped with most PCs. Power will be supplied through USB port, so you do not need an AC adaptor.

	Keep away from children.
	When using Micro Vault for the first time, the device driver is automatically installed. During installation, it is recommended to disconnect any other accessories or hubs from the computer, and quit running applications. If the Micro Vault is not recognized, the installation of the driver may not have been completed successfully.
	Please note that some computers do not start up and recover from sleep mode. This is due to the BIOS settings.
	Please handle the Micro Vault with care when plugging in or out of the USB port in order to avoid any damages to the USB connector and to ensure a successful recognition of the device. If the device recognition fails after several attempts, please contact our customer service center near you.
	Sony Micro Vault is formatted with an exclusive software to best perform the High-Speed USB's high transfer rate. If formatted using any other software, it is possible that the performance deteriorates or that a data error happens depending on the computers or on the OS. Should any of such conditions happen, it is highly recommended to download and format the device again usingSony Micro Vault Format Software’. (Be sure to backup your files before re-formatting)
	Please remove the Micro Vault from the computer before starting up/re-starting/recovering from sleep mode. Otherwise it may not function properly.
	Please keep the Micro Vault away from the electronic devices such TVs and radios when in use to avoid interference.
	Please clean the surface with a soft and dry cloth. Do not use or apply harsh material or chemicals when cleaning.
	Please do not attach any metal pieces such as a key holder or similar objects in the strap hook.
	It is highly recommended to backup files stored in the Micro Vault periodically.

	Precautions for Transfer and Disposal If data stored on the Micro Vault is deleted or reformatted using the standard methods, the data only appears to be removed on a superficial level, and it may be possible for someone to retrieve and reuse the data by means of special software. To avoid information leaks and other problems of this sort, it is recommended that you use commercially available software designed to completely remove all data from the Micro Vault.
