LICENSE AGREEMENT Please read this before installing. The following "SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT" applies to the following software provided by Sony Corporation. Please read the following "SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT" before installing. The Software shall not be installed until you agree to, and accept the terms of the "SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT". Otherwise, the Software shall not be installed and shall be destroyed/discarded immediately. Target Product : Micro Vault and Memory Stick Reader/Writer SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT This SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement") is a legal agreement between you (hereinafter referred to as the "User") and Sony Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Sony") and provides the terms and conditions for User's use of the above software program and documents accompanying the software (hereinafter referred to as the "Software"). 1. Under this Agreement, Sony grants the User a non-exclusive and non-transferable license, with no right to grant sub-licenses, to use the Software (including all copies) in the country where the Target Product is marketed (hereinafter referred to as the "Country"). 2. Copyright and all other rights relating to the Software are owned by Sony or the original rightful person or organization (hereinafter referred to as the "Original Rightful Person") granting Sony the right to use the Software. The User is granted no rights other than those specified in this Agreement. 3. This Agreement allows the User to install the Software only to the computers connecting the Target Product and use the Software in the Country only for non-commercial use. The User may not make copies of the Software other than the backup purpose up to two copies and may not distribute the Software either in whole or in part for any purpose whatsoever. 4. The User may not add to, or modify the Software either in whole or in part. 5. The User may not reverse engineer, de-assemble or de-compile the Software either in whole or in part. 6. The User may not export or transport the Software (including all copies) anywhere out of the Country. The Software along with the Target Product is subject to the export regulations of the Country. 7. The Software is licensed as a single product, including the Target Product. Its component parts may not be separated for use. 8. The User may not rent or lease the Software. 9. The User acknowledges and agrees that the Software is provided "as is" basis without any warranty of any kind. Sony and the Original Rightful Person disclaims and exclude all warranties including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose or non-defectiveness, express or implied, and will not be liable for User's or any third party's damages for any claim of kind whatsoever concerning the User's use of the Software. 10.Sony or the Original Rightful Person shall not be liable for any dispute relating to infringement of copyright, patent, or other intangible property rights that may arise between the User and a third party as a consequence of use of the Software. 11.The User will keep in confidence and, without prior written approval of Sony, will not disclose or disseminate to any third party any information included in the Software. The User's obligations set out herein shall not apply to any portion of such information that is already generally available to the public. 12.The User will comply with all applicable copyright protection laws in connection with the use of the Software. 13.Sony may terminate User's license upon notice for failure to comply with any of these terms of this Agreement. Any such termination shall not affect any payments and any compensation for damage. Upon termination, the User must immediately destroy the Software together with all copies in any form. 14.This Agreement shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. End.
