They are compressed archive files encoded to BinHex.
You need a freeware utility such as the "Stufflt Expander" which supports BinHex decoding function.

For specifying the defrosting place of a compressed file
- 1. Double click the downloaded compressed file, then the dialog "WinZipSelf-Extractor" comes up.
- 2. Specify the destination of the decompressed files on "Unzip To Folder."
- 3. Click "Unzip" to decompress the downloaded file.
- ex.) If the destination is C:\Temp, Temp folder on the C drive is made, and the decompressed files are stored in it.

How to check Version NO.
- 1. Bring up the administration screen.
- 2. Touch the Administration tab (on the rightmost).
- 3. Touch the System Log button.
- 4. The Version No. is displayed in the bottom.
How to Version Up
After connecting it to your PC with a USB cable, turn on the printer and double click the file you downloaded.
The file will self-extract, and a software license agreement window will appear.
After you agreed, the software will start upgrading firmware automatically.
If the printer restarts, the installation has been completed successfully.
Note: Do not turn the printer off while the firmware is being downloaded.
Check the Serial No.
The languages available in the UP-CR10L are different depending on the destination country.
Please check serial number prior to downloading file.

Please Note:
- Your UP-CR10L requires firmware version 3.00 or higher in order to run the setup files created by this utility.
If your current firmware version is below 3.00, please upgrade the firmware.
You can check your current firmware version by looking at the System History area in the Administration window.
For detailed instructions, refer to Chapter 3, "Settings," in the product's operation manual.
- A CompactFlash or Microdrive (available in stores) will be required to make use of the Setup files created by this utility.
Downloading and Installing
1. Download the software.
- (1) In the above Utility software area, click the name of the OS you are using.
- (2) When the Download dialog appears, click the Save button.
- (3) At the Save As dialog, enter an appropriate name for the file and click to save.
2. Install the software.
- (1) Double-click the downloaded msi file.
- (2) Read the information in the displayed dialog, and click the Next button as instructed.
- (3) The dialog will display a message indicating that installation has been completed. Click the Close button to close the dialog.
Using the Utilities
To open the utilities, double-click on the Sony SnapLab Utility shortcut created on your desktop at install time,
or else open the Start menu and click on Sony SnapLab Utility - Sony SnapLab Utility.
For information about how to use these utilities, please refer to the operation manual.
