Please check your firmware version before proceeding, and if necessary please update accordingly.
You can check your version by opening the Administration Screen and viewing the system log.
For further details, refer to Chapter 3, "Setup," in the operating instruction.

- To utilize these layouts, a commercially available CompactFlash card or Microdrive is required.

Getting Readymore

1. Download one or more additional spit-image layout templates.

  1. (1) At Download, click the paper size you would like to use.
  2. (2) Click the template you wish to download.
  3. (3) At the Download File dialog, click Save.
  4. (4) At the Save As dialog, save the file into a folder of your choice.

Note: If you wish to download multiple layout templates, repeat steps (1) to (3) as necessary.

2. Decompress the downloaded layout templates.

Each template is downloaded to your computer as a self-extracting EXE file. Decompress the file as follows.

  1. (1) Double-click the name or icon of the downloaded EXE file.
  2. (2) At the WinZip Self-Extractor dialog, enter the name of the folder into which to store the decompressed data. (The default is C:¥).
  3. (3) Click Unzip.
  4. (4) Click Close.

Note 1: If you have downloaded multiple files, repeat steps (1) to (4) for each of these.
Please be sure to save all of the files into the same folder.

Note 2: The extractor creates a Sony subfolder under the folder you have designated, and places the extracted template files
into this Sony subfolder.

3. Copy the extracted data into a CompactFlash card.

  1. (1) Copy the entire Sony subfolder (as created in the preceding procedure) into the root folder of the CompactFlash card.
  2. (2) Confirm that the CompactFlash root folder now contains a subfolder called¥Sony¥UPCR¥Split.

Note: If your computer is unable to write to CompactFlash cards: You can instead write the data into some other type of
memory card first and then use the SnapLab Copy Template feature to copy the data into a CompactFlash card mounted
in the printer's expansion slot. To proceed, carry out the two steps below (using the appropriate card insteadof a CompactFlash card),
and then copy the data into a CompactFlash card mounted in the expansion slot. Please refer to the operating instruction (Chapter 3,
"Setup," under the section on the Template Tab) for details about copying to the expansion slot.

4. Set the CompactFlash card into the printer's expansion slot. The new templates appear on the layout selection screen
and are available for use.

Note: Some outer areas of the photo image may be cut off depending on the format selected.
