Given the trend toward an increasing number of function buttons on remote controllers, this model featured for the first time a jog dial that rolls vertically. The remote controller and graphical menu on the television screen lets the user select a desired item by focusing on the screen while rolling and pressing the roller down, instead of having to look back and forth between the television screen and remote controller as before. An easy-to-use remote controller with many functions was created.
