The world's smallest component stereo system at the time, the "Liberty" established the concept of a mini-component system. The main unit is 355 mm wide, and the system as a whole is designed to look nicely balanced when other components are stacked on top. The case is die-cast metal painted silver, and the feather-touch buttons are made of cut stainless steel. Protrusions are eliminated on the surfaces as much as possible, making them attractively sleek and flat. The speakers incorporate flat cones with accurate pistonic motion (APM) technology.
