The W42S doesn't just include audio as one of many functions - the shape and style were designed for the main purpose of listening to music. Packaged as a Walkman®Phone, it provides a new outlook on the world by linking together illumination and Shuttle Player to provide the feel of an audio terminal through the Music Shuttle function.
The Music Shuttle enables intuitive operation, allowing music to be played back independently while using the mobile phone function at the same time.
Turning the handset on its side allows the user to optimize use of the screen, while illumination that changes according to the Shuttle Player and acoustic pressure provides constant enjoyment.
The Beat Menu is preset in accordance with the color of the handset, which further enhances the user's view of the world of music.
